HR Representative
Reporting Relationship:
Reports to: General Manager
Job Description:
Under supervision, the human resource representative performs work of moderate difficulty in human resources and benefits administration and performs related work as assigned.
Essential Functions

-Assists the HR department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for the Spencer and Worthington location.
-Runs Payroll bi-weekly for the Spencer location and acts as a Payroll back-up for the Worthington location.
-Perform customer service functions by answering employee request and questions.
-Assists in administration of the compensation program; helps monitor the performance appraisal process.
-Participates in benefits administration, including claims resolution, distribution of annual employee notices as required and assisting with benefits reporting requirements.
-Participates in recruitment efforts for nonexempt personnel, helps coordinate the use of temporary employees; maintains recruitment process.
-Conducts new-employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks.
-Runs reports for management review; maintains applicant and current employee EEO records.
-Assists in the exit interview process.
-Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
-Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
-Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
-Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

This position has no supervision responsibilities.
Work Environment
The employee regularly works in an office setting and occasionally walks through the processing floor.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with some evening hours based on business needs.
Travel
Local travel to various worksites is required.
Required Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in human resource management, or one to two years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
-Human resource experience in manufacturing or warehousing industry.
-SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential.
-Bi-lingual (Spanish/English)
